Raveen

Raveen is the collaborative project of singer-songwriter Eric Seguin, multi-instrumentalist and producer Stokely Diamantis, and drummer Peter Colantonio. Since forming in 2014, the band has become a dynamic force in Montreal's independent music scene, blending alternative, indie, R&B, and pop influences into a unique sound. Their music is often described as cinematic and visually evocative, drawing comparisons to artists like Moses Sumney, Bon Iver, and Radiohead. With the release of their sophomore album Forever in 2024, the band continues to captivate listeners, boasting over 7,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and regular rotation on CBC's After Dark. Following the success of their debut album Always (2017), Raveen gained recognition at festivals such as the Montreal Jazz Festival, POP Montreal, and CMJ Music Marathon. Despite setbacks, including immigration challenges in 2019, the band’s determination remained strong. Their latest album Forever, produced with Austin Tufts of Braids, reflects a more mature sound, blending live instrumentation with electronic and orchestral elements. With introspective lyrics and a focus on the complexities of the mind and heart, the album invites deep reflection. Raveen's collaborations with artists like Gayance, Kyle Watson, and Red Farrow further showcase their evolving artistry.
