Luella is the musical project of 20-year-old Kingston-based artist Liv Whitfield. Her soulful dream-pop sound is the product of a unique collaboration with her producer and father, Zane Whitfield (The Blue Stones, The Glorious Sons, Kathleen Edwards), most notable for catchy baselines, crisp vocals and honest lyrics. In June 2024, she released and toured her sophomore album, Summer Bummer, a love letter to her final years of girlhood, capturing the bittersweet essence of fleeting summers and the complexities of first love and inevitable heartbreak. This album is bolder with a newfound confidence all while staying true to her trademark vulnerability. Luella is currently working on her next project, with plans to release new music ahead of her summer 2025 tour.
