Tegan and Sara launched their music careers straight out of high school in their hometown of Calgary, Alberta. In 2000, they signed with Neil Young’s Santa Monica-based record label, Vapor Records, and have since sold over a million records, releasing ten studio albums, including their latest, Crybaby. Throughout their 25-year career, the duo has earned multiple Grammy, GLAAD, and Polaris nominations, as well as three Juno Awards for their seventh studio album, Heartthrob, which featured the pop hit Closer. Their music has been featured in TV shows like Glee, Grey’s Anatomy, Girls, and Heartstopper. In 2018, they received both the Governor General's Performing Arts Award and the New York Civil Liberties Union Award. Beyond music, Tegan and Sara have performed on some of the world’s biggest stages, from Coachella to the Academy Awards. They serve as executive producers of Amazon’s TV series High School, based on their New York Times–bestselling memoir, and are also the authors of the Junior High graphic novel series for young readers. Committed to advocacy, they founded the Tegan and Sara Foundation in 2016 to improve the lives of LGBTQ+ women and girls. Rooted in feminism and racial, social, and gender justice, the Foundation raises awareness and funds while supporting grassroots organizations, activists, and underserved communities. After 25 years of touring, Tegan and Sara continue to evolve their live shows, ensuring that no two nights are the same. Their Not Tonight tour offers an intimate acoustic storytelling experience, celebrating their 2002 album If It Was You alongside a set of fan-favorite songs. Audience members can expect a unique and deeply personal evening of music and storytelling.
