Bobby Carter is an award-winning creative leader, DJ, and cultural ambassador. Carter also serves as host and series producer of NPR’s Tiny Desk, leading the team’s creative vision, direction, and curation across all divisions and platforms. His work has helped the media organization reach its youngest and most diverse audience, averaging 60 million views per month. Since joining the team in 2014, the St. Louis native’s creative strategy has been at the intersection of music, storytelling, technology, and engagement, forging partnerships with HBO, Levi’s, Google, and more. Bobby is a part of Ebony Magazine’s 2025 Power 100 as a music innovator, and his work has helped Tiny Desk earn a Grammy nomination, an NAACP Image Award nomination, a BET Hip Hop Award nomination, and multiple Webby Awards. As DJ Cuzzin B, he has thirty years of experience playing arenas, theaters, and nightclubs around the world. His work with Nike Brand Creative has expanded to Nike Basketball, Nike Swim, and Jordan Brand, where he led music supervision for their Black History Month campaigns. The Jackson State University alumnus has lent his expertise to the NFL, NBA, Apple, and Adidas, to name a few.
