With over two decades of experience in the music industry, Vivian Barclay is a seasoned music publishing executive. In 2025 she launched her new venture, Hot House Songs, a boutique music publishing company dedicated to finding and supporting incredible songwriters, with a special focus on amplifying voices from Canada and the Caribbean. In her former role as Managing Director of Warner Chappell Music Canada, she oversaw the company’s esteemed global catalogue, representing some of the most prolific creators in the world. During her tenure, she played a key role in signing talented writers and artists from around the world, including Patoranking, Raghav, Machel Montano, Birthday Cake Records’ Begonia, producers Aliby (Drake, Party Next Door), and the catalogue of the legendary Garnett Silk. Vivian has co-chaired the board of MPC, and served on the boards of SOCAN and CMRRA, and currently sits on the board of Phemphat Entertainment Group, which produces the all-female Honey Jam Showcase, providing vital mentoring opportunities for female artists. Vivian’s significant contributions to the music industry led to her recognition as a Billboard Women in Music executive in 2022 and as one of Billboard’s International Power Players in 2023. She is deeply committed to giving back and is the co-founder and president of ADVANCE, Canada’s Black Music Business Collective. She also serves as a mentor to Music Publishers Canada’s Women In The Studio National Accelerator, now in its eighth year.
