Persha is the electro-pop project of Paris-born, Vancouver-based composer and artist Vanessa Giangrande. Her music blends bold synth-driven energy with dark cinematic undertones, creating a sound that is both visceral and emotionally charged. Before launching Persha, Vanessa spent years as a film and trailer editor for the French TV channel Canal+, a background that shaped her instinct for drama, tension, and storytelling. Her tracks have been featured in trailers, films, and branded content, including placements in movie trailers, the feature films Là où l’on va (2019) and Sentinelle (Netflix, 2021), a Spotify keynote film, and recently in the French TV show Nouveau Jour on M6. Persha has also collaborated with artists such as Carpenter Brut, performing with him at the Zénith de Paris and Hellfest. In 2024, she made her Canadian live debut at The Fox Cabaret, followed by the Roxy, and a series of releases in 2025. Alongside the project, she continues to compose for screen, bringing her electronic signature and narrative sense to directors looking for music that feels powerful and emotional, sometimes unsettling but in the right way ! Persha’s wish is now to expand her presence across North America through her live shows, releases, and collaborations.
