Trask Slayde (formerly known as Slayde) is an artist and producer making a distinct mark on Toronto’s underground music scene. Known for full-band live performances and self-produced Alt-R&B, he blends raw emotion with polished, modern soundscapes. His recent single*“Rum and Cokes” has been praised as a breath of fresh air in the underground—proof of an artist with a clear voice and real momentum. After releasing his debut mixtape Nights of No Sorrow in 2023, Slayde has continued sharpening his craft while building an immersive live experience with his band, ahead of his upcoming debut album. He has performed across the city, most recently at NXNE’s Underground Music Festival at The Pilot in Yorkville, and previously at venues including Nuvo Nightclub, Vivo (formerly POSH), and the DMTV Underground Music Showcase, which he headlined in 2022 and returned to in 2024. He’s been recognized by industry veterans such as Doc McKinney (The Weeknd), Adrian X (Drake, The Weeknd, PARTYNEXTDOOR), and Phil Hotz (Chief Engineer @ 80A Studios, Dua Lipa, Aminé, Alvvays). Slayde plans to keep making waves in Toronto—and scale into the global artist he’s building toward.
