Recording artist/actor Troy Curry, aka Troyman was born and raised in the Bay Area of California a hip hop breeding ground to such hip-hop icons as E-40, Too-Short, Digital Underground, and Tupac Shakur. In 2019, Troyman appeared on the first season of Netflix’s first ever hip-hop series competition, Rhythm + Flow where he was named a top finalist. His song Streetlights produced by Tay Keith became a viral sensation shortly after the series aired. He also captivated viewers of BET’s 106th and Park “Wild Out Wednesday” with a memorable performance that received great feedback from Robin Thicke. Winning first place on the competitive series was a fete that would push his career into high gear. Other noteworthy accolades included winning Best Independent Hip Hop Artist in 2009’s MTV’s Atlanta’s Best Independent Artist/Rock Your Fashion Campaign, being recognized by Lee Bailey of EUR as a 1st place winner at Uplifting Minds Talent Competition (LA) and the 2013 Best Male Hip Hop Artist recipient at The Atlanta Underground Music Awards. Troyman has released a number of projects and is gearing up for the release of 2 more projects slated for 2026.
