About

Tom

A Welsh collective writing massive alternative rock songs about love, life and death. Broken Fires bring the big rock energy of Manchester Orchestra, emotional honesty of Frightened Rabbit and ambitious, progressive playfulness of Biffy Clyro x War on Drugs. As the walls of sensible adult life close in ever faster, this group of old school friends from South Wales, UK can’t stop writing. This is emotional, progressive, ambitious and honest, alt-rock therapy – for everyone in the band and all who come to their shows. Broken Fires have landed sync placements on BBC and MTV television, national radio play in the UK (BBC Radio 6, BBC Radio 1), played showcases in Paris and Toronto (NXNE, 2022) and released three full length albums. Through 2025, the band have built to the release of their third album. Singles “Lighthouse”, “East London Hotel” and “Lonely March” all picked up radio play in Europe and on BBC Radio in their nativeWales. Released in November, the album launch was marked with a packed out hometown show and mini tour. 2026 is shaping up to be an exciting year as they take this batch of new songs on the road for some much needed therapy.
