About

Thomas

Thomas Duxbury and New Mother Nature is a Hamilton-based blues-inspired garage-rock project rooted in friendship, movement, and DIY persistence. Led by songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Thomas Duxbury, the project began during the pandemic with the self-recorded debut Back 40 Homegrown and has since grown into a collaborative, ever-evolving live band. New Mother Nature blends reflective songwriting with bright, driving arrangements — music that holds space for longing without losing momentum. Duxbury’s songs often explore travel, chosen family, and the feeling of carrying home with you rather than staying in one place. The project has performed across Canada and the UK, sharing stages with The Dirty Nil, Sam Coffey and The Iron Lungs, and The Commoners, and regularly features a rotating cast of collaborators drawn from long-standing musical friendships. With the release of the single Istanbul, New Mother Nature enters a new chapter — expansive, grounded, and very much alive.
