Stingray
Morning Host

About

Stu began his radio career in small town Saskatchewan in 1979 and through the years worked in Regina, Edmonton and Vancouver, eventually landing in Toronto where he currently helms the morning show on Boom 97.3FM. Perhaps best known for his 10-year role as host of CBC television’s rock video journal Good Rockin’ Tonite, Stu came face-to-face with such music icons as Paul McCartney, Madonna, Janet Jackson and Mariah Carey as well as film legends including Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman, Matt Damon and Meryl Streep. Jeffries’ television career has included hosting duties for more than a dozen national shows on major Canadian broadcast and specialty networks. His versatility as a host is reflected in the range of programs from CBC’s Good Rockin’ Tonite to The Commonwealth Games, a kids’ show (CBC’s Switchback), a sports talk show (Global’s Million Dollar Ice Picks), numerous entertainment programs and live music specials (CMT Central, Live &UpFront with Shania Twain, Sevens Live with Garth Brooks) and even a game show for good measure (Love Handles on Global/GSN/Prime).
