Steven Taetz has shared his unique blend of roots-rock, folk-pop at leading venues and festivals, including Canada’s National Arts Centre, Hillside Festival, Calgary Folk, Canada’s National Music Centre, L’Astral Theatre Montreal, Vancouver Island MusicFest, Rochester Jazz Festival, Capital Pride Washington D.C., Ottawa Bluesfest mainstage prior to Robert Plant & Allison Krauss, and a recent support performance with Blue Rodeo at Badlands Amphitheatre. Having previously collaborated with Jill Barber, Jenn Grant, Caroline Marie Brooks of Good Lovelies, The Once, Lydia Persaud, Tafari Anthony and many more, Taetz has co-published material with Sony/ATV, BMG, Universal, Warner, and Nettwerk. His 2023 album of contemporary roots love songs from a queer perspective called Late Bloom was nominated for 2024 Canadian Folk Music Award and Folk Music Canada’s Album of the Year. He was recently nominated for 2025 Ontario Folk Music Award’s Recording Artist of the Year as well. With his new EP entitled Fruit, Taetz continues to create his own sound with JUNO- and Grammy-recognized collaborators.
