Netherlands-born and London-based, Dutch Mustard blends dream-pop, ’90s alt-rock, and timeless shoegaze influences. Layering abstract drones, psych-infused guitars, and SJ’s dynamic vocals, ranging from whispers to soaring bursts, her sound is both ethereal and emotionally intense. In 2024, her self-released singles Loser and Thank You earned plays on BBC 6 Music from Steve Lamacq, alongside support from Don Letts and Amy Lamé, who spotlighted her as Sunday Girl. Early 2025 included a live session with John Kennedy on Radio X and a standout slot at The Season Festival. Her debut EP, An Interpretation of Depersonalisation, received BBC Radio 1 airplay and praise from Iggy Pop, while 2023’s Beauty drew support from Lauren Laverne and Huw Stephens. Recent singles Dreaming and Life have built momentum through UK touring, festival appearances, and press acclaim, with new material in the works as SJ writes her debut album.
