About

Rowan

Carmine is a four-piece female fronted alt-rock band from Victoria, BC, formed in 2024. Their first three singles, Lived so Slow, Eat Away, & I Don’t Wanna Be Friends, earned them a loyal and growing fanbase on social media, as well as The Zone 91.3’s Band of the Month spotlight and Music BC’s spotlight of the week. Carmine’s sound ranges from the gritty and spiteful, to the sweet and playful, unafraid to explore emotional and sonic depths while remaining true to their alt-rock, indie roots. Their early demos caught the attention of producer Mike Noble (Hotel Mira), who has been a mentor throughout the creation of the band’s upcoming EP, set to be released in 2026. Their latest single, Secondhand Emotion, was released on all streaming platforms on Oct 10, 2025. Carmine also partners with BC non-profit organization “The Jellyfish Project,” performing music in schools across Vancouver Island, advocating for climate action.
