Paul Woolner is a Canadian singer-songwriter based in Beaver Valley, Ontario. His music blends fingerstyle acoustic guitar with poetic, roots-inspired storytelling, drawing comparisons to JJ Cale, John Hiatt, and Daniel Lanois. A veteran of Canada’s folk scene, Paul began performing in the 1970s and has shared stages with artists like Melanie and Jerry Jeff Walker. His upcoming album, Memory Like Water, produced by Thomas McKay (Night Crawlers, Joy Drop), follows the success of his single “Moving On”, and marks a return to his acoustic roots-spare, warm, and richly reflective. With themes of change, resilience, and quiet revelation, Paul’s songs carry the depth of a lifelong learner and artist committed to craft, community, and honest expression. Outside of music, Paul is an avid surfer, backcountry skier, and community advocate and an active member of the Escarpment Corridor Alliance. His guiding force is a love of learning, connection, and the ever-evolving nature of the human experience.
