About

Millie

Irish Millie is a 19-year-old Canadian fiddler, singer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter from Peterborough, Ontario, blending East Coast fiddle drive, bluegrass energy, and contemporary trad storytelling into a sound that feels both deeply rooted and forward-looking. Leading a dynamic duo, Irish Millie’s live performances move between fiery instrumental interplay and intimate, emotionally honest songwriting. A seven-time Canadian Folk Music Award nominee, Irish Millie most recently received two 2026 CFMA nominations for her EP Between Then and Now — Single of the Year for “You Were There” and Young Performer of the Year. Her previous album GRACE earned two 2025 CFMA nominations, and Irish Millie was also nominated for Folk Music Ontario’s Performing Artist of the Year. Irish Millie has performed across Canada, the U.S., and Europe at major festivals and venues including Peterborough Musicfest (10,000+ audience), Ottawa Grassroots Festival, Rollo Bay Fiddle Festival, Live From the Rock, St. Lawrence Acoustic Stage, and Musik over Præstø Fjord in Denmark. She is currently studying Music Industry & Technology through a joint program at the University of Toronto and Centennial College, balancing touring, recording, and a growing presence in Canada’s contemporary roots scene.
