AloneKitty is a Toronto-based shoegaze / no-wave project led by guitarist and songwriter Michelle K. The band blends detuned guitars, dense distortion, and melodic noise inspired by My Bloody Valentine, Sonic Youth, and Slowdive—balancing heaviness with emotional pull. AloneKitty released two albums within a year, both breaking into the NACC 200 and gaining college-radio support across Canada and the U.S. The newest record, sad not sad, was mixed by Luke Schindler (Revolution Recording) and mastered by Simon Scott of Slowdive. Live, AloneKitty performs as a tight three-piece, delivering an immersive wall-of-sound set that pushes shoegaze toward darker, more abrasive territory. The project is currently preparing new material and aiming to expand onto festival and showcase stages in 2025–26
