Matthew Lee Patterson is a New York City–based singer-songwriter crafting emotionally direct indie rock with a strong narrative core. His songs balance melodic urgency and lyrical intimacy, drawing from folk and alternative traditions in the vein of Snow Patrol and The Weakerthans. A graduate of DePauw University with a Bachelor of Music, Matthew has performed internationally, including appearances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland, and continues to tour as a solo artist throughout the U.S. and abroad. His live sets are built for listening rooms and artist-forward showcases, pairing dynamic electric and acoustic guitar work with candid, connection-driven performances. His discography includes Busking Broadway and Another Round, which reinterpret musical theatre through a modern rock lens, and Black Book, his first full-length original album; an introspective record exploring attachment, distance, and emotional reckoning. Matthew is currently focused on expanding his international presence through festivals and curated showcases.
