About

Marc Daly

Jean Gardy is a Montréal based multidisciplinary artist whose artistic journey began at the age of eight through theatre, choral singing, and playing drums. Immersed early in live performance and collective creation, he began touring at a young age, developing a strong stage presence and a deep understanding of audience engagement and artistic collaboration. Over time, his practice evolved at the intersection of music, storytelling, and cultural reflection. Drawing from hip hop, jazz, neo soul, spoken word, and his African heritage expressed through rhythm, structure, and musical sensibility, Jean Gardy created Afropologie, an export ready project that bridges contemporary urban expression with African diasporic traditions. His music carries ancestral memory, groove, and call and response as living elements rather than references. Rooted in his Haitian cultural background and shaped by community based environments, his artistic voice explores identity, memory, resilience, and collective healing. Ultimately, Jean Gardy considers himself a spiritual being having a human experience, a perspective that deeply informs both his creative process and his relationship with audiences. His performances combine musical precision with reflective storytelling, creating immersive experiences that resonate across cultures, through performance, education, and global dialogue.
