About

Lucas

The son of “El Viejo Napo” and the dancer/choreographer María Pérez, art ran in his veins from childhood. His sound blends genres like blues, funk, and jazz with a powerful electric guitar sound. His somewhat folksy lyrics recount his experiences, evoking the everyday. They also reflect the places he lived, near the sea and in the mountains of the Ecuadorian highlands. All these elements make his songs unique and define him as an artist. In 2019, Lucas released his first EP, “Cholo Blues,” with the promotional single “Me quedo con mi Blues” (I’m Keeping My Blues). In 2022, he recorded a live session in Bajamar and released his new single, “Esto No Funciona” (This Doesn’t Work). He is currently in the pre-production stage of his new album and is about to release collaborations with other artists.
