About

Lia

Lia Hide is an avant-dark pop Athenian artist, composer, pianist, and producer, blending jazz, cinematic, dark wave, post, and baroque pop into a distinctive sonic universe. Her music combines versatile vocals with spoken poetry, dynamic piano, and driving rhythms, creating immersive, emotionally charged performances. Debuted as a solo artist with EMI in 2013 and later pursued an indie-label approach, releasing five studio albums and an instrumental work for the dance drama Genoktonia, performed at the Aischylean Festival in 2019. Her 2022 concept album The Missing Fourth Guest toured 16 European countries and featured multi-awarded art videos screened internationally. Her 2025 release, ARISTOPHOBIA NERVOSA, a Greek-language spoken word work, merges avant-garde, cinematic, jazz, and dark pop textures, exploring memory, identity, and social instability. Lia tours extensively across Europe, performing in 19 countries at numerous festivals alongside Tricky, Die Krups, Zola Jesus, Jesus and Mary Chain, Ida Nielsen and more, and CAN Festival in China. She was a Culture Moves Europe beneficiary in 2024 and a HEMI Awards finalist, 2023.
