KAYRULEA is a transfemme producer, rapper, and singer taking inspiration and samples from all over the sprawl of the internet and music culture. Through this, she weaves together a curious and introspective blend of hip-hop, alt-rock, indie, electronic, and psychedelic music. She released her first album titled “Our Shape in the Negative” in January of 2025. The 41-minute-long project walks us through her many struggles with mental health, self-image, struggle under a capitalist system, patriarchy, and, most importantly, gender identity.
