Katie Mal is an indie-rock singer-songwriter from Toronto. As a young woman of colour, she began writing songs at 12, shaping music that explores identity, difference, heartbreak, and self-discovery. Her sound blends storytelling lyricism with upbeat, nostalgic melodies inspired by modern indie artists and the raw energy of ’90s rock. Discovered by award-winning Canadian producer Rob Wells and now signed under Guillaume Moffet’s Friends and Family Management, Katie’s debut music has earned FACTOR support and growing acclaim.
