I’m Kara Kaufmann, a children’s musician and music educator who writes playful, thoughtful songs for families—many of them inspired by dinosaurs. My music blends storytelling, catchy melodies, and warm arrangements that are fun for kids and genuinely enjoyable for parents and caregivers too. Over the past four years, I’ve released multiple children’s music EPs, most of them dinosaur-themed, and I regularly perform at libraries, schools, festivals, museums, daycares, and family events. My live shows are interactive and movement-based, inviting kids to sing, explore, imagine, and engage with the music in a meaningful way. In addition to performing, I teach parent-and-tot music classes, private piano lessons, and music programs in Montessori schools. I bring my background as an educator into every performance, creating welcoming, joyful experiences that celebrate curiosity, creativity, and connection. Whether I’m singing about prehistoric creatures or everyday moments of childhood, my goal is always the same: to create music that families love sharing together.
