Joe Beat is a young Manjacque (a community in Casamance) artist born and raised in Dakar. A Senegalese national, his career began in 2009, first as a beatmaker, hence the nickname Joe Beat. He then became a rapper towards the end of the same year. He then held his first studio recording sessions and released his first single in late 2009. Thus, after a brief stint in a rap group in his neighborhood of Guédiawaye, then after a long walk with another group in Keur Massar, Joe Beat decided at the end of 2015 to focus on his solo career, to better establish himself in the music industry in general. He is also a sound engineer, producer, and founder of the production label Lzk Music Group (Lzk Business Entertainment / Lzk Studio) based in Keur Massar since 2011. Lzk Music, one of the leading production structures of the hip hop movement in his locality, known to insiders and also to the show business community. This is how through this label, Joe was the producer of many artists of his generation like Yanko, Exil Cool, Brain-u-Mbéd, Reuf Nigger, 2.Peu Deep’i Crew, Myno, X Brain, Réw mi Crew, among others.
