About

Jessa

Jessa Sky is a Métis-Cree singer-songwriter from Treaty 6 Territory whose music blends soulful melodies, heartfelt lyricism, and Indigenous roots. Since launching her career in 2021, she has become one of Canada’s rising Indigenous voices, earning three #1 singles on the Indigenous Music Countdown and the 2024 CBC Searchlight “Honorary Indigenous Artist” award for her single “Anxiety”. In 2025, Jessa was one of only four artists across Canada chosen for the CBC × SOCAN Reverie Indigenous Music Residency in Toronto, where she worked alongside producer Junia-T to create her song Timelapse, performed live at Massey Hall’s Allied Music Centre. The four-week residency offered mentorship, studio sessions, and performance opportunities for emerging First Nations and Métis musicians. Her collaboration with Mattmac, Forever, has surpassed half a million views, and she has performed across Canada and the U.S., headlining festivals like the Indigenous Tattoo & Music Festival in New Mexico and touring with Mattmac’s All Eyes on Us Tour. Beyond the stage, Jessa is a mental health and addiction awareness advocate, keynote speaker, youth mentor, and host of the ‘Sky Talks’ podcast.
