J SHIELDS is an experimental vocalist and ambient music producer from Belfast. Creating immersive music with field recorded samples from nature which underpin vast synth drones and climactic vocalism. Since starting in 2024, J released his debut EP, Evergreen, and concurrent remix EP. After which he delved in to film composition, community commissions, UNESCO art exchanges and audiovisual installations. In 2026, J hopes to bring his unique performance style to festivals across the world. Singing operatics across a four octave range, along with synth loops, reverb-rich pads and field recordings, J brings a truly genre bending experience to festival audiences. Providing a pseudo-oasis to the hectic fluxes of the modern world, J’s music is a love letter to the nature, seeking to reflect the human experience at its core.
