Canadian-American artist and producer LOWERCASE is establishing himself as an important talent and community fixture with no sights of slowing down. Growing up with frequent trips to learn his roots in Memphis and Jamaica, LOWERCASE was shaped to develop and nurture an eclectic ear for different sounds and evidently, led him to explore creating his own distinct sound. Hailing from Scarborough, Canada, his early influences stem from Jay-Z, Memphis artists Gangsta Blacc, Three 6 Mafia, 8 Ball & MJG, as well as Jamaican artists Bob Marley and Beres Hammond. From dissecting The Black Album on his mother’s iPod nano to developing various projects between the years like the Lowercase LP to his EP MTSB under the alias jJ , LOWERCASE decided it was time to release his most recent LP, Pilot Episode, in 2022.
