Hank’s Dream is a band based in Montréal, QC formed by Henry Cobb, who, outside of his duties as a church organist, is quite often found making indie music on his 4-track in the basement of his apartment. Contained in their sound are the imperfections, character and confusing nostalgia that people seek out when they take photos on a disposable camera or listen to their Mum’s rare 45s from the fan club she was a part of in the 80s. In 2022 the band emerged on the scene in Montréal with Frédéric Ferland on guitar and pedal steel, Henri Bouchard on bass and Zachary Lalonde on drums. In September 2025, they released their first full-length album “Runnin In Circles”. With its drums that break up with distortion, its synths that wobble just slowly enough, and of course the tape hiss present on the album due to its recording on a real analog 4-track, Running in Circles represents a significant development in the sonority of the group towards a sound that is both fuller and more ethereal than that of their releases to date. The group promoted the album with an interview on CBC’s “Sounds like Here” radio show.
