The Board of Directors are a punk rock-fueled power-pop trio from Cincinnati, OH USA. They’re known for heartfelt, lyrically-driven melodic songs that are complex-yet-catchy, and an energetic and light-hearted stage presence in which they try to connect genuinely with audience members. Theye’ve been compared to a range of other bands, often the Smoking Popes and the Weakerthans. Since forming in 2023, they’ve developed a sound some call “surprisingly un-whiny,” a style they affectionately refer to as “Pop Punk for Grownups,” and have performed over 200 times across 19 US states and Canada. In 2025, they won “Best Pop Punk Band” at Indianapolis’s esteemed Punk Rock Night Awards. They’ve self-produced an independent music festival (The Company Music Festival), and have released two full length albums and several singles and EPS, and are set to release more music in 2026.
