About

Francois

Born in Montreal, raised in London (UK) and now in Ontario, HERDD is a 2SLGBTQIA+ artist with a truly unique lens. Since his 2019 debut, he has served up bilingual (English/French) alternative electro-pop, likened by Billboard to ‘early Gaga with shades of Daft Punk’. In May 2024 he celebrated the release of his debut album, Afterlife, with a packed album release party at Le Ministère in Montreal. The album is a reflection of HERDD’s struggles and successes with his mental health and his recovery from trauma and addiction. The album charted at #41 on the US Electronic Album charts on iTunes and the second album single, ‘Paranoia’, also charted at #13 on the iTunes Canadian Electronic Music chart. The album hit #5 on NACC Electronic Adds, charting at WXAV (#6), CHMR (#3) and WCSF (#1). HERDD performed tracks from the album and follow up works at Canadian Music Week in both 2023 and 2024 and at ‘The Q Musicale’ (as part of Pride Toronto) in 2024 and 2025, where he shared the stage with the iconic Carole Pope (Rough Trade) and Simone Denny (Love Inc). HERDD is set to release his big followup E.P in 2026.
