Joni was born in the pubs of England, where Union Jack suits spat nationalism and his friends were lost to a tide of hate. He chose another path—hardcore punk, a community that screams in the face of racism, facism, and conformity. We are Shirehead: Jeremy Tremblay (drums), Erik Kennedy (keys), Dylan Paiement (bass), Diego González (guitar), and Joni Butler (vocals/guitar). Together, we fuse post-punk ambience, Britpop melodies, and trip-hop rhythms. Imagine The Clash colliding with The Stone Roses, and Massive Attack. We stand against hate. We stand for community.
