About

Ekelle

Ekelle is a rapper, singer, and songwriter from Toronto who rhymes about what she knows best: her real-life experiences. Her music explores themes of money, sensuality, femininity, and identity, delivered through her own unique flow and perspective. She created her own genre, Hood Pop — popular music with a street edge that blends elements of hip-hop, contemporary pop, and R&B. Since 2017, Ekelle has been captivating stages across North America with her compelling presence. Her 2023 song “Flo” earned acclaim as one of Complex’s Best Canadian Tracks of the Week, received Spotify editorial placement, and was played on Vibe 105, Flow 98.7, and various college and community stations. As an artist with Cymba Music Publishing, Ekelle has secured placements with Hudson & Rex (2022, 2023), The Stanley Cup Finals (2022), ZARA France (2022), and Popularity Papers (2023). In 2025, Ekelle was selected to participate in MMF Canada’s Bespoke Mentorship Program. In 2025, Ekelle was named a 24Hip-Hop: Top Artists to Watch in 2026. She is currently working on her next album.
