Dyloco is a hungry South London artist with a multi-disciplinary creative background and a strong artistic identity. Educated at a now-closed school that also shaped acts like Four Tet, Burial, and The XX, Dyloco was inspired by its culture of creative freedom to write political poetry and perform in front of SBTV’s Jamal Edwards. This led to the release of his debut political drill track, The State Of It All, which received airplay on BBC Radio London. Since then, Dyloco has released six more tracks and performed across London venues, including Tileyard’s Vinyl Café, the Excel Centre galleries, and Point Blank Studios, whose label signed and distributed his fifth release, Motorola. His live performances have been featured on DJ AG, and his latest track achieved over 500,000 views on Instagram, with its UK–Brazilian crossover resonating strongly with both Latin and UK audiences. Sonically, Dyloco combines a skippy UK flow and introspective lyrics with bass-music-inspired beats rooted in UK and Latin American sounds. His shows deliver the high energy typically associated with UK rap while leaving space for reflection. Being multilingual allows Dyloco to connect with a wider, more diverse audience.
