Derek Hoffman is a JUNO award winning, Toronto-based producer, engineer, musician and songwriter, celebrated for his versatility and boundless creative energy. Initially cutting his teeth in the punk and rock scenes with heavyweights like Silverstein and Boys Night Out, Hoffman has since expanded his footprint into pop, alternative, and country music. His impressive portfolio features collaborations with some of Canada’s most prominent acts. He has contributed to tracks for Arkells, worked with The Glorious Sons, JJ Wilde, and produced, cowritten and mixed the award-winning EP Here and Now for Aysanabee. Hoffman’s ability to bridge genres is further evidenced by his work in the country sphere, where he produced the debut radio single “Rally Around” for emerging artist Sully Burrows. Whether he is developing a unique sonic identity for a new artist or pushing experienced acts to new heights, Hoffman brings a refined sense of melody, dynamics, and arrangement to every session.
