DEECEE whose actual name is Derek Chen, is a prominent Toronto-based DJ and producer known for his energetic sets primarily across house, tech, and trance genres. He can be seen performing at the premier dance music venues and music festivals across Canada. Although he’s been deejaying from a young age, his come-up in the Toronto DJ scene has largely been over the past decade. Many of his top-tier residencies he holds are at venues such as Rebel, Cabana, D/PRTMNT, Escobar, Comfort Zone, and CODA to name a few. He’s played at VELD Music Festival on the MainStage each year since 2019, and recently made his debut at Electric Island in 2025. DEECEE is a partner in one of Canada’s top collectives known as Electric Escape, and is based out of Toronto, Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary and Montreal. Electric Escape will be celebrating their 10-Year anniversary soon, and is a driving force for discovering new talent in the International Dance Music scene, and showcasing it across Canada since 2016.
