Gnome Chimpsky is an alternative rock band from Windsor, Ontario, Canada formed in 2019. The band’s first album, Something to Hold Onto, was released in 2021, and received favourable reviews from indie music bloggers and airplay on college radio stations such as CJAM 99.1 FM. In 2024, the band released two new singles: Caged, reminiscent of the indie-reggae sound of their debut album, and Mind Over Matter, which edges on psych-rock. The music video for Caged was accepted for the 2025 Forest City Film Festival. A new EP, Okie Dokie, is scheduled to be released October 3, 2025. Songs from the EP have been played on CBC Radio One and the band recently recorded an interview on CBC’s Afternoon Drive segment, Southwest Sounds. The band is now beginning work on their next full-length album.
