Void Comp is the solo project of artist and producer David Julé, fusing electronica, indie and alternative rock into a unique, atmospheric sound. His sound is reminiscent of Thom Yorke, Massive Attack and James Blake. Known for his lush, dark production, Void Comp combines hazy synths, heavy drum machines, electric baritone guitar, and soft, intimate vocals. Originally from the prairie town of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Julé turned to music as an escape from the monotony of small-town life. Motivated to pursue his passion more seriously, he moved to Vancouver, BC, where he studied Music Production and Audio Engineering at SAE Institute. After earning his diploma and playing in various bands, Julé launched Void Comp as a means of fully expressing his individual musical vision.
