Daryn Jones is the co-host of Daryn & Deepa, 99.9 Virgin Radio Toronto’s highly rated and hugely popular morning show in Toronto.
Daryn & Deepa are well known for their authentic connection with their audience, unpredictably wild humour, and their viral celebrity moments with stars like Denzel Washington, Keanu Reeves, Angelina Jolie, Selena Gomez, Ryan Reynolds, Will Ferrell, and many more.
Daryn began his career in comedy at 17 years old at Yuk Yuk’s Comedy Club in Toronto. He’s headlined Just for Laughs in Toronto, The Winnipeg Comedy Festival, and has performed across North America and the UK, and at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles.
Daryn became a staple of Canadian television when he took on the role of host and creative producer of MTV Canada’s flagship series MTV Live. During his six years on MTV, he became known for his sharp wit and infectious energy, winning a Gemini Award for Best Talk Series.
Previously, Daryn co-hosted and co-created the award-winning street comedy series Buzz on The Comedy Network and CTV. Buzz ran for six seasons, garnering Daryn another Gemini Award for Best Writing on a Comedy Series.
Daryn then joined the Rick Mercer Report on CBC Television as writer and on-air correspondent. Most recently, Daryn was the co-host, writer, and producer of the Bachelor Aftershow on CityTV, where he and Deepa dissected Bachelorette contestants looking for love.
Daryn lives in Toronto with his awesome wife, their two fantastic children, and their sweet but not very bright dog Wolfie.
