Gab Godon is a seasoned figure in the world of songwriting. Having begun her career as part of the duo Heartstreets, she is now fully dedicated to her solo venture under the alias Laroie. With this ambitious new project, the singer-songwriter delves into themes of overcoming addiction, temptation, relationships, and desire, aiming to uplift listeners by exploring the entire spectrum of human emotions. Laroie’s repertoire draws influence from a myriad of styles, ranging from a pure R&B downtempo essence to an irresistible attraction to the dancefloor. While gracing the stages of Canada’s Osheaga Festival, Montreal International Jazz Festival, POP Montreal, and many more, Laroie released her latest six-track EP ‘Tragedy’ in Spring ’23.
