About

Chloe

Chloe Hawes, the Essex born, Manchester based singer-songwriter traverses the boundary between intimate folk confessionals and raw, genre-blending defiance. Chloe draws from modern British folk, cinematic Americana, and punk energy to deliver songs that feel both timeless and urgent. Since releasing their first EP in December 2014, Chloe has steadily refined a sound built around honest storytelling, emotional tension, and bold sonic shifts. Their catalogue includes 4 EPs, and their debut full-length album Remains/Reminders arrived in 2024. On Remains/Reminders, Chloe’s songwriting delves into late-night escapades, the sharp ache of lost love, and a longing to navigate the past and future in tandem. The album weaves cinematic textures, guitar-driven momentum, and vocal intimacy to carry listeners through emotional high points and quiet pauses. In recent years, Chloe has toured across the UK, US and Europe, played Manchester Pride, The Fest Florida, and Pouzza Fest Montreal. Most recently, they supported Will Varley on his UK tour. Beyond their musical craft, Chloe’s work is rooted in exploring identity, queer experience, and emotional truth — often challenging norms and highlighting the power in vulnerability.
