About

Bryan

Jeremy Lachance’s indie rock songs unfold with a certain charm, a “je ne sais quoi” that is purely Montréal-flavoured. With the ingenuousness of a “flâneur” and the know-how of a craftsman, the artist builds music that naturally nestles into the suspended afternoons of the Mile End. Jeremy knows how to put on his white gloves when he writes, composes, or produces for others (Miel de Montagne, Laraw, Kieran Campbell), but when it comes time to turn to his own work, the musician is not afraid to get his hands dirty. What emerges are muted textures whose seams cannot—and need not—be hidden: soft, soothing, yet deliberately full of imperfections. Best known as a member of the indie band Grand Eugène, Jeremy Lachance now reveals himself as a singer-songwriter with his first EP, Béton Bisous: six homemade songs crafted beneath the Van Horne overpass.
