Lex Leosis is a decorated hip hop artist that uses her voice like a weapon. Slick lyricism is Lex’s forte and it’s what got her her start in hip hop as part of the rap battle scene of the mid 2010’s. Lex kicked off her solo career in 2020 during covid. While it was difficult during the Canada lockdown, Lex managed to release two projects and developed a significant Tiktok fanbase with her freestyling videos. She released EP, Terracotta, amidst covid and landed music from the EP in CBC’s Pretty Hard Cases and Run the Burbs. Once restrictions lifted, Lex joined Snotty Nose Rez Kids on their 2022 40 city North American Tour. A near death experience haulted Lex’s musical ambitions, getting into a bad ATV crash that cracked her ribs and punctured her lungs. She managed to still release a string of singles and collaborations through 2023 and 2024 while recovering. This year she released Sorry for Asking with collaborator, callmestevieray, followed up with two EP’s, i’m a little sensitive, and love adjacent, she formed an LA-based writing collective that meets monthly to write for numerous artists and she’s got a full length album on the way for 2026.
