Weekend Goodbye isn’t punk. They’re not indie. They’re not anything, and they don’t care what you call them. The Toronto four-piece makes loud, emotionally reckless rock music with brutal clarity, sticky hooks, and lyrics that feel like a bathroom-mirror confession after last call. Their 2024 EP Baby Teeth sparked a quick ascent through the underground. That momentum carried into opening slots for The Frights and Remo Drive, the release of the snarling “Cash”, plus the anthemic “Toronto” on Paper Bag Records’ Watering Hole compilation LP, which earned coverage from Exclaim!, V13, and Fusss. Weekend Goodbye is confirmed as direct support for The Rural Alberta Advantage at Wintersong Festival, has earned radio airplay from Indie88 (TO), CHOM 97.7 (MTL), Radio Sucesos (Spain), and college stations nationwide. They’ve even landed on official playlists for When We Were Young Fest and The Punk Rock Museum. They’ve levelled rooms like Lee’s Palace, The Mod Club and The Great Hall, converting first-time listeners into ride-or-die lifers by the end of the set. They play like they’ve got nothing to lose and everything is riding on the next three minutes. Weekend Goodbye is not asking for permission. They are already halfway through the door.
