About

Ali

Montreal’s Museums is the psychedelic, art-rock project of Ali Kouri, Nic Barkun, Anthony Kameka, and Lou Raskin. Their music is characterized by impulsive, evocative vocals coupled with dense, layered guitars, distortion, and driving drums. Despite being a young band, Museums has performed across Quebec, Ontario, Germany & the Netherlands, in notable spaces such as NXNE, Festival sur le Canal, Rirkrit Tiravanija’s untitled 1996 installation at Fondation PHI, Gain Fest and Nuit Blanche for Montréal Boreal. They were also awarded a fully-funded sound recording residency at ArtHaus in Toronto, which took place in January 2025. In 2025, Museums signed to Montreal-based, DIY label Petit Village Records, who released their singles In Waves and Ur Best to critical acclaim. In January 2026, the band is set to release a 2-song EP, followed by a 6-song EP in the Spring of 2026.
