Emir Cello (Alfian Emir Adytia) is a cellist, performer and composer active across Europe and Asia. His genre-defying work—blending classical, rock, metal, and Indonesian folk—challenges imperial cultural narratives and forges deep cross-disciplinary connections, most recently through his album Decolmuseum (2025) and his extended cello set in A Story of Displacement by Panama Pictures (2025-2026). Dubbed the “Jimi Hendrix of the cello” and a leading voice of the “New Indonesian Wave,” Emir creates high-energy, immersive performances that move between bodily ecstasy and spiritual transcendence.
