Alessandro Montelli is an Italian Canadian alt pop artist who jump started his music career in the south of Italy. After releasing his first single “Strane Parti di Me”, in 2016 and touring radios and stages around Italy, he decided to give Canada a shot and move to Toronto. With his mother born there, Alessandro was well aware that growth opportunities would be endless in this country. Through busking and networking he started making connections with songwriters and producers as well as focusing on recording new singles and building a fanbase online. He performed to sold out audiences in venues like the El Mocambo, Lees Palace, and Mod Club, as well as being a constant to songwriters rounds like Sofar Sound, CMW and Breaking sound. In 2023 he’s chosen to perform in Brooklyn (NYC) to represent the Italian Canadian community in a prestigious tv show called “NYcanta” that broadcasted all over Italy on national tv. Some of his successful singles are “Vaffanculo”, “Chiedere Asilo”, “Diva”, and “Smoking Sigarette”. In 2026 Alessandro is preparing to record and release a new EP that will see him leaning toward his most authentic singer songwriter side.
