Bif Naked: A Documentary, featuring live Q&A and performance

Bif Naked is the story of a woman who refused to be defined by anything but her own voice. A force of nature, equal parts poet, punk, survivor, and agitator, Bif invites us into her life with unprecedented access and no filter, delivering the definitive portrait of an artist who has truly lived every lyric she has ever written.

Her story begins in secrecy: born in India, adopted by American missionaries, and raised on the Canadian Prairies, always feeling like an outsider looking in. As a teenager she was targeted by predators, survived sexual assault, and learned far too early how dangerous the world could be for a loud, beautiful girl who did not want to play small. Instead of shrinking, she got louder. She broke into the punk and alternative scenes of the late 1980s and early 1990s, fronting bands, touring relentlessly, and crashing through a male-dominated music industry with tattoos, compassion, and platinum records. On stage she was electric; off stage she was fighting for animals, for women, and for marginalized kids who saw themselves in her.

But the triumphs came with brutal chapters: cancer, a mastectomy, chemotherapy, a heart issue, kidney failure, addiction in the family, divorce, and industry betrayal. Each time, she rebuilt. Each time, she turned pain into art. Told through intimate interviews, rare archival footage, and performances that still land like a battle cry, Bif Naked is not just a music documentary – it is a declaration about defiance, identity, and what it takes to stay soft in a hard world.

This is Bif Naked: unfiltered, unstoppable, unapologetically loud.
