Samantha Moy is Head of BBC Radio 6 Music. She started her career in radio at Kiss 100 in London, moving to independent production company Somethin’ Else making programmes for BBC Radios 1, 2 and the World Service. She joined Radio 1 in 2002 where she produced the Evening Session, Jo Whiley and the Live Lounge, The Chris Moyles Show, and Annie Mac. Sam was also an Event Producer at the BBC Electric Proms in 2008-2009, creating unique broadcast performances with Oasis and The Streets amongst many others. Moving to 6 Music, Sam became Station Head in 2020. She has overseen record audiences, multiple awards across the broadcast and music industries, as well as a transformed on-air schedule – even commissioning Cillian Murphy to host a series of late night music shows. BBC Radio 6 Music was again named ‘Best Radio Station’ at the UK’s ‘Music Week’ Awards in 2025.
