Jacob Tierney is one of Canada’s leading film and television creators. He is the creator, writer, director, and executive producer of the global hit series Heated Rivalry.
Prior to Heated Rivalry, he co-developed, co-wrote and directed every episode of the acclaimed Crave/ Hulu television series Letterkenny and season one and two of the spinoff show Shoresy, winning 10 Canadian Screen Awards in the process. Before his success as a showrunner in television, Jacob wrote and directed four feature films, including Twist, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival, The Trotsky, starring Jay Baruchel, winner of the Genie for Best Original Screenplay, and the cult hit Good Neighbours starring Baruchel, Emily Hampshire and Scott Speedman. Most recently, Jacob executive produced the Riley Keough/ Gina Gammell directed feature film War Pony (Cannes ‘23), which won the prestigious Caméra d’Or for Best First Feature. He is also an executive producer on The Traitors Canada.
